ROBERT HAWKINS

I was lucky enough to have been born in Bozeman, Montana, arguably the fly fishing capital of the world. My passion for being outside was born there as well. By a young age, I had already logged a considerable number of days in a drift boat. When it was time to leave my little home town for college, I headed to Seattle, where I studied commercial photography. I stayed there for a few more years, focusing on photography but eventually the rivers called me to Montana.

After a few summers of being a dirtbag fisherman and working at the local snowboard shop in the winters, an ad in the back of the paper caught my eye. “Land the job of a lifetime” with a photo of a guy holding a monster rainbow trout. Make money doing what I loved? I was sold. For the next 15+ years I guided fly fishing in Alaska and Montana.

In 2012, my wife and I purchased a fly shop in Minnesota and moved east, starting the next chapter of our lives. We owned the shop for 13 years, helping teach and outfit thousands of people to get out and fish. Eventually, the time came to close that chapter and get back outside on the water. I’m ready to get my hands wet again and help you get out and fish.
